Here’s CLIP FOUR of your AUXANO SUMMER REWIND: Pull Your People into Vision Conversations

Church leadership remains challenging as our political, social, and physical worlds are always changing. But amid this uncertainty lies the hope of gospel-fueled clarity. Getting everyone in your congregation on the same page has never been harder... but a unified body of believers has also never had more potential for impact!

So what can a leader do to maximize the effectiveness of everyone who calls their church home?

In this clip from Auxano’s Full Strength Leadership webinar, Senior Lead Navigator Clint Grider describes one skill for bringing your leadership into the vision conversation through “wet cement” meetings.

TeamUP questions for this REWIND CLIP include:

  1. When have we scheduled our next vision planning retreat with a select group of key leaders to dream about God’s better future? (Learn more about Auxano’s 2Day Horizon Storyline Retreats here).
  2. Have we scheduled a subsequent wet cement meeting with all of our volunteer leaders to build ownership in this visionary plan?
  3. What questions will we ask in order to bring everyone into the vision God has given our church?

Here’s CLIP THREE of your AUXANO SUMMER REWIND: Move Your Money Talk to the Discipleship Office

What if the faith-factor of your congregation increased because the church leaders taught - and lived and - the principles of generosity? What if we learned to see money as a spiritual growth lever? Not the lever to pull on a slot machine to see what money will pour out, but what if money were a lever to pry our grip off of what belongs to God and to release our congregation’s spiritual freedom?

As Auxano Generosity continues to study givers, giving, methodologies, theologies, and practices that increase local church effectiveness, we could easily get focused on looking for ways to entice giving via external motivations.

However, the pastoral concern is this: Did we actually “win” if giving is increased but our people give for superficial reasons?

In this clip from the Creating a Culture of Generosity Webinar, Auxano Generosity Director Greg Gibbs, and Senior Lead Navigator Kent Vincent unpack what it would mean to move your “money talk” from the finance office to the discipleship office.

TeamUP questions for this REWIND CLIP include:

  1. When have we talked about money in a public way over the last 12 months? How was our approach modeling discipleship principles, or missing discipleship principles?
  2. During the fall of 2021, when are we planning to talk about living as generous Jesus people? What moments do we need to schedule/plan for?
  3. What resources do we need to make generosity more of a discipleship conversation and not just a budget conversation? (Talk to a generosity specialist at Auxano here)

Here’s CLIP TWO of your AUXANO SUMMER REWIND: Send Your People Out to Serve

After months without in-person gathering and then a spring and summer of mixed attendance, most church leaders are asking similar question as we look to the fall of 2021. Some of those questions include:

  • Why are people who don’t need to stay home unwilling to return?
  • What ministries should we bring back, and what should stay gone?
  • What can we do to rebuild volunteer teams?
  • Who still considers themselves a part of our church?

Reengaging your congregation will take intentional effort and deliberate leadership. In this clip from the Engage Everyone Workshop, Auxano Co-founder and CEO, Jim Randall, unpacks one strategic shift to help begin to answer the questions above.

TeamUP questions for this REWIND CLIP include:

  1. What community leaders are we connected to? Think members AND non-members of the church?
  2. In what areas of our community could our church make a tangible impact this fall?
  3. What will draw our congregation to think like people sent, not people content?

Here’s CLIP ONE of your AUXANO SUMMER REWIND: Get Your People in the Room.

COVID-19 has been — and remains — the great equalizer for this generation of church leadership. Overnight, leaders became peers, and attendance numbers became irrelevant. In an instant, every church moved to some form of digital engagement. And every church leader now wants to move back to their fullest form of face-to-face experience.

Every congregation has a different reentry timeline, but we all have the same reentry challenge: how to reengage or convert online viewers into onsite worshippers. In this three-minute clip Auxano Senior Lead Navigator Bryan Rose unpacks the need to create can’t miss moments onsite.

TeamUP questions for this REWIND CLIP include:

  1. What “Can’t Miss” moments can we create for early fall 2021?
  2. What will we do to reconnect people to our church beyond that moment?
  3. How are all of our programs and environments designed to fuel a maturity process?
